I know, I know. “Beckett, you are insane! Jadarian Price only caught 15 passes over three seasons at Notre Dame”. Yes, that is true. However, we aren’t in Indiana anymore; we’re in Seattle, and from EVERYTHING that is coming out of camp, Price is going to play a role in this passing game. If the coachspeak comes true, this may be the best price we see all season on his receptions. 

It was reported by ESPN’s Steve Wyche that “Seattle didn’t anticipate Price’s receiving ability to be as good as it has been.” Head Coach Mike MacDonald also told Wyche, “Price wasn’t just catching screens/checkdowns; he was tracking intermediate and deep passes”.

On top of all of that, Price was getting a lot of passing game reps during training camp with the first-, second- and third-team offenses, and Head Coach Mike MacDonald stated: “Nobody’s covered him yet”. 

Per PFF, in the Super Bowl last season, Sam Darnold was pressured on 18 of his 38 dropbacks, which resulted in three receptions for the running backs. If the Patriots and Mike Vrabel decide to bring the pressure again tonight, we could see Price hit the core pieces of this ladder early. 

The PRICE (ha) is simply too good to not take this ladder on the opening game of the season; hopefully we are all laughing at the books tomorrow morning after fully cashing this out.
